Contour Biennale 8 is located across multiple historical sites and at a leading arts centre in Mechelen city. These sites traverse the grounds of legal history, civic rituals, the passage of medieval governance and advance of polyphonic music in the Low Countries. Artistic projects engage with each venue to explore its varied pasts while corresponding with our collective present.
